MAY BOXYCHARM REVIEW

Are you a subscription box junkie like me? Or are you yet to subscribe to a monthly, at your door box? I look forward to my box every single month, and I decided, why not start reviewing and breaking them down for you guys.

Now before I get started with breaking the products down, I’ll let you guys about a few of the popular subscription services out there.

Ipsy– $10 a month, I belonged to them for about a year and collected WAY too many bags that the samples arrived in. I also felt like they don’t really read your reviews on the products or take into account if you were satisfied with the samples, as my bags would be super repetitive and I had way to many unused samples from them. So I cancelled.

Play by Sephora– $10 a month. I haven’t tried this one, but at a time I did want to sign up and there were no spots available. I do love Sephora and always look forward to extra samples in my box from an online purchase or in my bag after a makeup shopping trip, but I do know it’s very similar to Ipsy with the samples so I’m not sure I would like to do another one of those.

Birchbox– $15 a month and again another box with sample sized products. I won’t go into detail because they’re pretty much the same as the above two. If you are subscribed though and love this box for a certain reason, or the samples seem bigger, let me know. I can’t see it being the same as Ipsy and costing $5 more.

Ok. You get the point, now let me tell you why I love Boxycharm!

It’s $21 a month and FULL SIZE PRODUCTS. Yes. It’s twenty one dollars, BUT the products ALWAYS add up to over $100. You can also subscribe to just get a few months worth of boxes if you don’t want to pay monthly. You can also cancel your box at anytime, no strings attached. I’m so bad at surprises, so I always sneak a peek at what’s coming in my box. The best part is there is different variations, so even though I’m peeking, I’ll still be somewhat surprised as to what I receive!

**Product #1: GlamGlow GENTLEBUBBLE daily conditioning cleanser $28**
I have been wanting to try a GlamGlow product for awhile to see what all the rave was about, so I was excited to see I was getting this in my box. This cleanser is free of sulfates, parabens, among other things, and also vegan. I’m excited to try this as my daily face wash for 30 days and see if I notice a difference!

**Product #2: Alamar colorete blush trio in Castaway, Paraiso, and Scorcher $22**
Honestly, I’m not a huge blush person, never have been, just give me a good bronzer and highlight to top that off and I’m good to go, but I am excited to try this trio out, because of the orange/pink tones for summer. Those are always a popular summer makeup color, and I wouldn’t purchase them on my own, so I’m excited to see how it changes my day to day makeup this season!

**Product #3:** **Ciate London brand Eye Lustre crème eyeshadow in Cupid $22**
Ok so usually, I don’t do cream eyeshadows, as I more times than not have oily skin, and it creases on me. THIS DOES NOT. First of all, it is SO pretty and sparkly. It reminds me of the glitter rollers in the 90’s (hi all of my 90’s babes) but it’s not tacky. I love this product! It is available in the color above which is Cupid, and also in a white color ICE.

**Product #4: Steve Laurant lip gloss in POSH $22**
I always get excited about lip products, you can never have enough. Especially in nude tones. I’m not overly crazy about this one as I’m more of a satin lip or matte girl, and I don’t wear a ton of gloss products, but this color is great! I always lean towards darker purples, reds and nudes, so the color is a win for me. I just am not crazy about the gloss, but it’s good to have on hand.

**Product #5: Flat shader & Angled liner brush from Bodyographypro $17**
Just like lip products you can never have enough makeup brushes, am I right? These are a great toss in the travel bag brush. I keep my expensive brushes at home and love ones like these for in my work bag, purse (never know when you’ll need one) or toiletry bag for traveling.

TOTAL BOX WORTH: $111 🙂
