For my friends in Orlando, and my friends not in Orlando, I wanted to share some of my favorites from the food and wine festival!
If you live in Florida, I’m sure you are completely aware that Epcot has a food and wine festival from end of August until end of November. You can ‘drink around the world’ or just walk around the world and experience different foods from a lot of different countries. Although, I am a little bummed because they took Poland out of the mix this year, this little polish lady was craving some pierogis and had to learn the hard way! 🙁 BUT there are tons of other delicious options to satisfy every craving you have!
First up: Mexico
Before I share other options, this drink is my ALL TIME favorite, found in the pyramid in Mexico in a little small bar, it is shockingly refreshing and smooth, and I know the thought of a pureed avocado may scare you off, it is SO good. This is my go to drink every time I go to Epcot, and for families with littles, if they enjoy the movie COCO, they’ll love this pyramid! It’s filled with stuff from the film, and is so cute inside! Even if you don’t want the drink, pop in there just to check out the place!
One of my husbands favorite foods in the park is the empanadas in Mexico, these are right at the first little booth and are DELICIOUS. They have a little spice to them with the sauce on top so if you don’t like spicy than get it without the toppings, but omg they are delicious.
The sizes of the food are small, but still shareable, it’s fun to try a lot of different options and share with your significant other, friend ect.
NEXT UP: SPAIN
So I am a BIG fan of seafood salad, my husband’s gram makes it super fresh and it is one of my favorites from her cooking! I had high expectations as Disney food is usually really good but it was just ok. I’m here to give you guys all of the facts! I definitely want to go back and try the paella though! Spain is one of our favorite countries in the world and their food is sooooo good. If it’s you’re first time at the park definitely try the paella before this! Unless this is a must have on your menu for the day.
NEXT UP: MOROCCO
We love this walk up restaurant! Quick walk up service is the best in the parks as we want more time to be able to go experience the park! Our favorite menu item here is the chicken, rice, and hummus. Or the gyro’s are amazing too! You can never go wrong with a well made gyro! If you’re looking for something good, and quick, I definitely recommend stopping in here!
NEXT UP: FRANCE
I love this restaurant right in the beginning of France. It reminds me of our time we traveled to France and had lunch at a little spot just like this, by the Arc De Triomphe. We haven’t ate here yet but will definitely check it out soon, I just love how realistic it is to the actual restaurant in Paris!
OK, so the name of this food choice is actually, BOEUF BRAISÉ Á LA BORDELAISE POMME DAUPHINE but I don’t even know how to say that so we’re calling it beef and potatoes because summed up that’s what it is. AND SO SO SO GOOD. I’ve had this twice now and still a favorite! Paired with a local French beer or wine and it’s like you’re in France having dinner 😉
Finish off your time in France with a cold glass of champagne or rosé which are two of my favorites and you’re ready to head to the next country!
UP NEXT: THE UK
FYI, our good friends have a daughter with a severe food allergy and she is able to enjoy the fish and chips from this restaurant, so if you or any of your family or friends have a dairy or peanut allergy, there are options for you too!
I love how Disney really brings each country to life! I haven’t been to the UK yet, but it’s one of my husband’s favorite places and I am excited to go experience it one day. But Epcot makes it fun to see what it would be like to be over there with the food, drinks and atmosphere like these fun phone booths!
If you have the chance to experience Food and Wine as an adults only day or night, go do it! We went with our friends and had such a blast and enjoyed a few drinks! We of course had to have a car bomb each to really amp up the experience! 😉 But there are fun NON alcoholic and drinks with alcohol for everyone!
END YOUR DAY WITH SAYING HELLO TO MICKEY, MINNIE AND FRIENDS!
On your way back to the front entrance, if you have kiddos waiting to see characters there is a meet and greet with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy! It was only about a 2 minute wait for us, and although Londyn doesn’t quite get it or love it yet, it’s fun to have these memories!
If you’re going to the park soon and are able to make the Food and Wine festival, let me know if you try any of my favorites!! AND ENJOY!!
